OBJECTIVE:
The programme will:

• Enhance the candidate’s knowledge in matters pertaining to occupational safety and health concepts and principles
• Train the candidates, enabling them to perform OSH activities/programmes to meet the requirements of OSHA and its Regulations
• Prepare the candidates for an examination leading to their designation as competent Safety and Health Officers (SHO)

TARGET GROUP:
Under the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994, certain classes of industries are required to employ a Safety and Health Officer. This course is intended to train competent individuals to hold this responsibility.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess SPM/SPMV/MCE or equivalent with at least a Grade Three Pass.

General certificate (SAP) or lower than Grade Three will not be accepted.

Experience in the field of occupational safety and health is an advantage and highly recommended.

Applicants must attach one copy of:

• SPM/SPMV/MCE Certificate (certified true copy)
• Identification Card (NRIC)
